Bio
I am a native Floridian raised in Southwest FL. Reading was and is a big part of my life. I swear my first book was science fiction thus my love for sci fi was born! I read everything in my Dad's collection and then went on other other sci fi works and horror. Love classic Stephen King and Robert McCammon. Later I tried some romances but quickly burnt out on them and am now reading some trendy paranormal romance genre books but mostly historical fiction. I probably listen to audio books more than read mostly due to focusing on my own writing and doing beta work and reading other young writers fanfic. Love fanfic as a way to learn how to write.

Love Sci Fi TV of which there is very little that is done well. Growing up, we had no cable tv and existed on (I know this is dating me) publicly broadcast tv. Like most Sci Fi fans I watched the mandatory Star Trek. We also watched PBS so I was raised on classic musicals as well as British imports. I love British shows! Early on I fell in love with Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Doctor Who. I am such a Who Fan Girl! I was so happy when the series was reinvented (thank you Russell T. Davies) and broadcast in the U.S. on Sci Fi Channel and my favorite cable channel BBC America.

When not indulging my sci fi habit, I am the IT geek, paralegal etc for a law firm. Yes, I spend my day online investigating and researching legal issues, reviewing and drafting legal contracts. Geeky girl that I am, I love to research.

My latest find - fan fiction. Just started reading Doctor Who, Fire Fly and Torchwood fan fiction. It's been interesting. Many great authors out there writing these things and they deserve recognition. The courage and creativity of these authors is inspiring.

Latest project - research family tree for maternal and paternal sides of the family. So far I have traced my maternal side of the family to Ireland on my grandfather's side and U.K on my gradmother's side. The paternal side of my family is much more of a mystery. This is an ongoing research project which will take me years to finish
